The Loch Ness Loop takes you deeper into the mountains of the Highlands and across to the Great Glen which splits the Highlands into the Grampian Mountains to the East and Northwest Highlands.  The route takes in some truly spectacular scenery and passes by locations from TV and film including Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and Monarch of the Glen, both of which filmed on the Ardverikie Estate to the South of Laggan.  Depending on which side of Loch Ness you choose to take, this route is around 150 to 160 miles making it a great length for a full days touring.  Being a loop you can go either way and while we recommend that the loop is completed clockwise so that you arrive at the distilleries in Dufftown towards the end of the day, there’s no real advantage of going one way or the other.

The loop passes through Nethy Bridge, Boat of Garten, Aviemore, Kincraig, Kingussie, Newtonmore, Spean Bridge, Fort Augustus, Invermoriston, Drumnadrochit and Dores.  Then Inverness and south back towards the Cairngorms National Park.

Please contact us if you are interested in the Loch Ness Loop or if you would like us to plan out an itinerary for you, we are happy to help.
